ستاره شعرای یمانی یاهمان شباهنگ در صورت فلکی کلب اکبر قرارداردو ستاره ای سفید آبی با طیف A1 V که فاصله آن تا ما 8/8 سال نوری است. این ستاره 25برابرخورشیداست و درخشان ترین ستاره آسمان شب است ضمن اینکه قدر ظاهری آن منهای 1/46می باشد.
