This week the equinox found the Sun near the middle.

This dance is to the death. Along the way, as these two large galaxies duel, a cosmic bridge of stars, gas, and dust currently stretches over 75,000 light-years and joins them.

Ice is forming on the river Lielupe as it flows through the landscape in this winter's night scene.

Is there a bridge of gas connecting these two great galaxies? Quite possibly, but it is hard to be sure.
